The pandemic has been devastating to the small business sector over the past months. According to the Tribune, 353 businesses opted not to renew their business licenses with the city by August, with some of the most affected including beauty shops, retail stores, restaurants, professional services, massage parlors, and a host of sole proprietors. Officials do believe there may be a silver lining. While some businesses have closed their doors for good, others plan to return.
