San Luis Obispo County has seen the largest single-day increase of COVID-19 cases in more than a month. Officials reported nine new cases yesterday, bringing the county’s total to 288 confirmed cases. Four people are hospitalized. Twenty-four people are recovering at home and 259 people have fully recovered. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara County reported 23 new cases of COVID-19. According to County Health Officer Dr. Henning Ansorg, 60 percent of the community cases are from Santa Maria and surrounding communities.
