CMC Has Highest Number Of COVID-19 Cases In State Prison System

At 1,127 COVID-19 cases, CMC in San Luis Obispo has almost three times more cases than other prisons in the state. Officials say they are working with state and local health officials to slow the spread of the virus. Two-thirds of the CMC population has been tested for COVID-19 over the last two weeks. The second-highest number of active COVID-19 cases at a California prison is 414 at the Central California Women’s Facility.
