Santa Maria Police nabbed a parolee following a chase through town late Sunday night. Officers responded to a report of a fight and someone with a gun at the Conserve gas station on East Betteravia at around 10:15. The suspect vehicle was driving off as officers arrived. The pursuit ended on East Mariposa when the driver bailed on foot. The suspect was caught and booked on several charges including a parole violation. No gun was found. An investigation is ongoing.
