A Santa Maria man was arrested this week on a felony charge of embezzlement. Retired Santa Barbara County deputy probation officer, 64-year-old Manuel Edward Torres, was arrested Wednesday and will face 15-count felony counts related to embezzling more than 500,000 dollars from the Santa Barbara County Probation Peace Officers Association. He’s due in court later this morning.
