Firefighters working the River Fire in Paso Robles say the fire was fully contained yesterday afternoon. The fire broke out just before 2 p.m. Monday. Wind-whipped flames jumped South Rover Road and forced the evacuations of several homes. 2 homes were destroyed, and nine were badly damaged. Some families lost pets, while others lost pieces of family history. The cause is of the fire is under investigation.
