Rallies, protests, and marches yesterday, in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, and Lompoc, were attended by thousands of Central Coast Residents. The NAACP, R.A.C.E. Matters, and Cal Poly Black Faculty and Staff hosted a rally outside the San Luis Obispo County Courthouse. The NAACP Santa Maria-Lompoc and several non-profit groups also held a social justice solidarity rally and march honoring the life of George Floyd. There were no reports of violence or property damage in any of the events.
