Wildfire Strike Teams from the Central Coast and Southern California were called to the hills above Santa Barbara yesterday afternoon. Officials say the Cave Fire was first reported along Highway 154 at about 4:15 p.m… It was estimated to be about 15 acres. By 10 o’clock last night the brush fire had turned into a blaze, consuming roughly 3,300 acres. 6,300 people have been evacuated.
