Living on the Central Coast can be stressful for people who rent. And it can be even more stressful for retired people on a fixed income. Some Santa Maria residents are continuing their fight for affordable living while rents in some mobile home parks continue to rise. That could be a topic of discussion at the next Santa Maria City Council meeting. City officials are working with a group of renters and park owners to come up with a solution being called the enforceable model lease 2020.
