Some Santa Maria students are getting a chance to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. The two day STEM Industry Days workshops give 5th through 8th-grade kids an opportunity to take part in workshops in a number of STEM fields that include energy, biotechnology, 3D design and more. The goal of the workshops is to show students the benefits of STEM education and allow them a chance to meet people who work in a wide range of STEM-related professions.
