A Santa Maria man is behind bars this morning following a complaint about an illegal campsite in Orcutt. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the Bradley Dip in Orcutt. During a search of the area, they found 30-year-old Matthew Caldwell, a large amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a female juvenile. The girl was taken into protective custody. Cadwell is facing several charges including bail violations, drug possession, and child endangerment.
