Rescue crews and the Coast Guard searched through the overnight hours for a possible missing person. Cal Fire SLO answered a call about an overturned kayak near Leffingwell Landing at Moonstone Beach in Cambria yesterday afternoon at around 4:45. A California Highway Patrol helicopter scanned the water from above but did not locate anyone. There was no identification found with the kayak and no vehicles in the area appeared to be associated with it. Anyone with helpful information regarding this search is asked to contact the Coast Guard.
