Santa Barbara County Firefighters knocked down a small vegetation fire yesterday morning. Officials say the fire was first reported at about 6 a.m. near Foxen Canyon and Tepesquet Roads. No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. Yesterday also marked the beginning of high fire season in all areas of Santa Barbara County. That means the suspension of all burn permits for residential burning and hazard reduction. Santa Barbara County Fire Department will also be increasing resources for wildland fire protection.
