Santa Maria Police say an Arroyo Grande man has been arrested on suspicion of stalking. Police say 31-year-old Thomas Simmons was a person of interest in a stalking investigation that started earlier this month. Santa Maria Police asked Arroyo Grande Police for assistance in locating Simmons. An AGPD officer found him during a traffic stop. A search of his vehicle turned up an illegal rifle with high capacity magazines and a loaded handgun. Simmons was booked on charges of stalking and intimidation of a witness, along with various weapons charges.
