Some Santa Maria High School students put on an event to bring awareness to a special cause. Students at Pioneer High School organized a “Walk for Autism” event to raise awareness of those who are on the spectrum and their struggles. The inaugural was part of a student-led effort to bring the community together. Students from the school’s Ability Service Training Responsibility and Achievement club and about 70 supporters walked the school’s track and then learned about people who deal with Autism and their struggles.
