The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says a woman wanted on a probation violation is back behind bars. 36-year-old Sylvia Virgen of Santa Maria was wanted for violating her probation and had a no-bail warrant for her arrest. A search for Virgen began after officials received reports that her child may be at risk due to possible substance abuse. A sheriff’s compliance team found her walking with her six-month-old baby on North Curryer Street. She was taken into custody without incident.
