The Santa Maria City Council will be discussing an ordinance related to farmworker housing at tonight’s meeting. The new H-2A housing ordinance would prevent new farmworker housing in hotels. people already living in a hotel or motel would be grandfathered in under the new ordinance. Tonight’s vote could be the final vote on the issue. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:30 at the Santa Maria City Council chambers.
