An Arroyo Grande woman dodged jail time yesterday when she pleaded no contest to a felony vandalism charge. Patricia Welsh’s plea stems from an incident where she used brown paint to deface campaign signs of then-Mayor Jim Hill. Welsh has been sentenced to three years of supervised probation and 50 hours of counseling. A restitution hearing is scheduled for June.
