Ballots Still Need Counting

Election Day was a week ago, but there are still ballots to be counted. According to the San Luis Obispo County Clerk-Recorder’s office, close to 5,000 ballots remain to be counted. And even though 97 percent of the votes in the county have been tallied, there are still some races too close to call. A two-year Grover Beach City Council seat is up in the air, with opponents separated by just 48 votes. According to the Tribune, Morro Bay’s mayoral race is down to the last 150 ballots with a 110 vote gap between the candidates.
