Will the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area allow vehicles on the sand again? That decision has been put on hold until the State Parks Department can complete a Public Works Plan. Parks officials say the PWP had to be pushed back due to unforeseen circumstances. During yesterday’s meeting, the commission took calls and virtual statements in favor of keeping vehicles off the sand and others wanting access to the dunes. Currently, the dunes are closed to vehicular traffic due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, but that may soon change.
