San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Ian Parkinson identified last Friday’s gunman involved in an active shooter incident. At yesterday’s press conference, Parkinson I.D.’d 42-year-old Scott Huffman of Bakersfield as the person who opened fire in the parking lot of the Vons gas station in Nipomo. He also pointed out that Huffman may have been having a mental health crisis during the incident while he fired more than 20 rounds both inside and outside the gas station’s convenience store. A motive for the shooting is still unknown.
