Santa Maria Police and the F.B.I. are investigating an armed bank robbery. Police say it happened Friday afternoon just before 5 p.m. at the Community Bank on South Broadway. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man in his mid-30’s or early 40’s. He was captured on video wearing a beanie and bandanna. Investigators say he used a handgun during the robbery.
