Governor Gavin Newsom announced yesterday that retail businesses in the state could start re-opening as soon as Friday. Newsom said retailers will need to meet state guidelines to be released later this week. Newsom also announced that the state is working to train contact tracers to help monitor the spread of COVID-19. Both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties are now looking to grow their medical staff to help with the effort.
