When oil prices shoot up, gas prices rise almost immediately. But when oil prices go down, like now, it takes longer to be seen at the pump. In California, the average price for a regular gallon of gas is $3.14. In San Luis Obispo County, the average is 3.43 a gallon and in Santa Barbra County, it’s 3.30 a gallon.
