Oceano voters will be deciding next month, whether or not to approve a special tax. Measure A-20 is designed to pay for Oceano to continue receiving fire services from the Five Cities Fire Authority. Five Cities Fire Authority has been trying to have a full-time department in Oceano for years. If measure A-20 fails, the Oceano CSD could potentially choose to transfer the responsibility of fire services over to San Luis Obispo County.
