A proposed Northern San Luis Obispo County housing project that would include affordable housing has received a green light. The Paso Robles Planning commission has approved the proposed Olsen South Chandler Project. Officials hope it will help with the city’s need for affordable housing. The project will bring more than 1200 housing units, with roughly 30 percent considered “workforce housing”. Some surrounding neighbors were concerned about increases in traffic, dust and water usage. The project is now headed to the City Council for final approval.
