Santa Maria Police say a man is behind bars after lead officers on a pursuit through town yesterday. It started with several calls about a man driving erratically. By 12:30 Officers caught up with the vehicle and the chase was began. After almost hitting some kids near Santa Maria High School, the chase almost came to an end when the driver crashed into a Smooth bus just outside of Santa Maria. The suspect bailed on foot but was quickly apprehended by K9 Rowdi. The man is now facing several charges including DUI.
