A statewide manhunt came to an end at a Cambria gas station yesterday morning. Most Central Coast residents received an Amber Alert about a kidnapping suspect possibly traveling down the 101 from San Jose. The suspect, 24-year-old Victor Magana, was wanted for the stabbing of his girlfriend and kidnapping their 2-year-old daughter. He was spotted by some Good Samaritans at the Old Cambria Marketplace and Shell station. One of the men put him in a chokehold, detaining him until Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and took him into custody. He’s likely going to face attempted murder and kidnapping charges.
