A Santa Maria man is behind bars following a hit-and-run incident that landed a pedestrian in the hospital Sunday. Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s investigators say it happened on Avenue of the Flags in Buellton Sunday evening at around 5:45. A pedestrian was seriously injured and airlifted to an area hospital. A witness followed the truck and gave dispatchers a description and license plate number. Deputies caught up with 26-year-old Luis Alberto Ledesma at his Santa Maria home. He was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and two counts of felony DUI.
