A Santa Maria man was in Lompoc Superior Court yesterday. 24-year-old Francisco Gutierrezortega is one of two suspects connected to the shooting death of Marlon Brumfield earlier this month. Gutierrezortega was charged with murder in Brumfield’s death. His bail was set at 2 million dollars. The second suspect, 25-year-old Walter Morales Jr. is still on the run.
