The San Luis Obispo City fire department has a new deputy fire chief. Chief Keith Aggson made the announcement yesterday that Michael Alforque would be taking over the duties of Deputy Chief. He comes to San Luis Obispo with 25 years of Fire Service experience. He’ll oversee emergency response crews, the department’s training program, as well as assisting with the city’s disaster preparedness education programs.
