People in northern San Luis Obispo County may notice smoke from a fire that broke out yesterday afternoon at Camp Roberts. The fire reportedly started in a training area on the California National Guard base and, according to fire officials, was burning grass at a moderate rate of spread. Troops from the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team arrived at the base this week for two weeks of annual training.
