Oceano Community leaders are looking at the possibility of a special tax that could generate enough funding to continue to pay for the Five Cities Fire Authority services. The new tax would be on the March 2020 ballot. If its rejected Oceano would need to find another Fire Fighting service. Meanwhile, The Grover Beach City Council approved a budget proposal that would cover their share to utilize the Five City’s Fire Authority. Arroyo Grande city leaders will vote next week on the issue.
