Rural A.G. Man Facing Fraud And Drug Charges

A rural Arroyo Grande man is behind bars this morning after he tried to pass a fraudulent check. Arroyo Grande Police officers were first called out to a Bank of America branch at around 10:30 yesterday morning. When officers arrived they detained 41-year-old Mitchell Lemay. They also found Lemay to be in possession of methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia. He’s also suspected of trying to pass a counterfeit check at another Arroyo Grande bank earlier this month. He’s now facing a number charges including committing a felony while on bail.
