Valley Fever Vaccine On The Way

Valley Fever in California continues to be a problem with potentially deadly outcomes, killing as many as 73 people annually statewide. Last year six people in San Luis Obispo County who contracted the disease died. Now, according to KSBY, a San Luis Obispo laboratory is developing a vaccine for Valley Fever. Officials with Applied Biotechnology Institute say they have seen promising results with their vaccine in small animals and are a couple of years away from a human clinical trial.
