Jurors who are sitting on the trial of a former Grover Beach police officer, who is charged with two felonies connected to a deadly dog attack, heard opening statements and testimony yesterday. Prosecutors plan to show that Alex Geiger knew his Belgian Malinois, Neo was dangerous. His defense attorney told jurors that David Fear’s death in 2016 was an accident. The trial resumes later today.
