Pismo Beach Police were called out to a report of a shooting incident Friday afternoon. A male caller claimed to have shot his girlfriend and had a child inside a home on Wave Avenue. When officers arrived outside the home, the family inside was surprised and didn’t know anything about the call. No one was injured n the incident and investigators say it may have been a swatting incident in which emergency services are falsely sent to another person’s home. Authorities say while the call came from a blocked number, they have ways of finding the person who called.
