A doctor was attacked in Lompoc yesterday morning. Police are investigating the incident as a case of attempted murder. Lompoc Valley Hospital officials say it happened outside the facility at around 6:45. The doctor was attacked a suspect with a rope. He apparently wanted to get in the hospital. Another doctor arrived just after the attack and followed the suspect to a nearby Circle K. Lompoc Police took the suspect into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
