Cal Poly has suspended a fraternity for hazing violations and throwing parties where minors had access to alcohol. Officials say the hazing did not involve alcohol, but it did violate Cal Poly policy that forbids hazing of any kind. The Kappa Sigma fraternity has been suspended through spring of 2019 and placed on probation until spring of next year. The fraternity will have to abide by any sanctions handed down from its national chapter. Six Cal Poly Fraternities are currently on some form of sanction.
