A Grover Beach man was taken into custody yesterday following a pursuit that ended in Santa Maria. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of shots being fired on Ocean Street in Oceano at around 7:30 yesterday morning. According to a press release, 31-year-old Michael Lockett was spotted leaving the area, and a pursuit began. It lasted about six minutes, but reached speeds in excess of 100 miles an hours. The pursuit ended with a collision in Santa Maria on North Broadway. Lockett had a pellet gun in the vehicle at the time of his arrest.
