A Cal Poly CubeSat will be launched into space tomorrow morning. It’ll hitch a ride on Virgin Orbit’s Launcher-One rocket. The CubeSat is one of 10 small satellites NASA will include in its next Educational Launch of Nanosatellites mission. Virgin Orbit’s rocket will be carried by a modified Boeing 747 to 35,000 feet before being released and fired into orbit. According to KSBY, another Cal Poly satellite was launched into space in June of last year aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy in Florida.
