SLO County may Land On State COVID-19 Watch List

San Luis Obispo County Health officials are warning that the county could be next on the state’s COVID-19 watch list. Over the past 14 days, the county has seen a positive case rate of about 114 cases per 100,000 people. That exceeds the state’s threshold of 100 cases per 100,000 people. Being on the state’s watch could mean closing some businesses that just reopened. While the county’s transmission rate was up, officials point out testing and, hospitalization rates and the availability of hospital beds are still within state metrics.
