As counties across the state deal with new reopening rules and regulations during a holiday weekend, San Luis Obispo County Health Department reported 5 new cases of COVID-19. Since the first local case of novel coronavirus was reported two months ago, 258 residents have now tested positive. Officials point out that, 234 have fully recovered. There are currently 23 active cases in San Luis Obispo County. Three are hospitalized, 20 are recovering at home.
