The Highwomen teamed up with Jimmy Fallon to create an acoustic rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.”
The group was on Fallon’s show earlier this month to perform their new anthem, “Redesigning Women.” Fallon later released the “backstage acoustic” video segment.
The video was shot with each member, Fallon, and the guitar player in a circle with the camera panning around to every person individually in a circle. Member Amanda Shires surprisingly pulled out a violin to join in with the guitar.
The supergroup, consisting of of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Shires and Natalie Hemby, created the cover of “The Chain” for the new movie, “The Kitchen”. The film is a thriller with three female lead actors starring in it—Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss.
The Highwomen will release their debut self-titled album on Sept. 6.
