The Navy medical ship the Mercy made port in Los Angeles on Friday. ABC’s Alex Stone says, the USNS Mercy now in port, able to hold a thousand patients 800 Navy medical staff onboard. It was greeted by California Governor Gavin Newsom who thanked President Trump for sending the Mercy to California. The Mercy will take non-COVID-19 patients to make room in land-based hospitals for those with coronavirus.
