Prosecutors Won’t Go For Death Penalty In Shooting Case

San Luis Obispo County prosecutors will not be seeking the death penalty for three men accused of gunning down an Oceano man last year. On April 3rd, 41-year-old Daniel Fuentes, Sr. collapsed inside his neighbor’s home saying he had been shot. Law enforcement caught up with Robert and Gabriel Garay and 21-year-old Nathaniel Jara. Even though Robert Garay is believed to have pulled the trigger, all three are facing charges of first-degree, premeditated murder and street terrorism. If convicted, they could face a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
