Santa Maria Joint Union High School District has a new superintendent. Following an eight-month long search, Dr. Antonio Garcia has been chosen to lead the district. The board of education made the announcement on Tuesday. Garcia is currently working as an Assistant Superintendent for the Riverside Unified School District. His first day on the Central coast will be January 2020.
