A weekend shooting incident put a man in the hospital. Santa Maria police say it happened at about 10 Saturday night in the 1600 block of North Mary Drive. When officers arrived to investigate, they discovered the victim had already been transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim suffered numerous gunshot wounds to the chest.
