Founder Of AmpSurf Qualifies Foe U.S. Surf Team

The founder of AmpSurf, the Pismo Beach non-profit that teaches amputees to surf, has qualified for the U.S. Surfing Team. Dana Cummings is a left leg below the knee amputee. He has been surfing competitively since 2004. He decided to start the AmpSurf, Learn to Surf Program in Pismo Beach to teach others with disabilities how to surf and “Focus on Abilities.” Dana is set to compete at the Hawaii Adaptive Championships in Oahu, and Adaptive Opens in England and Wales as well as the World Adaptive Championships.
