A deadly crossing at the intersection of the 101 and El Campo is now closed. Caltrans crews have completed the work to close the left turn lanes at the intersection where a car pulled in front Jordon Grant’s motorcycle late last year. Two other similar intersections south of Arroyo Grande are slated to be closed sometime tomorrow. Work on the project had been stalled by a lawsuit filed by the owner of Laetitia Winery. That suit has since been dropped and the Grant family and Vintage Wine Estates are working together to bring an overpass to the area.
